I'm an expert in implementing AI across full stack development, engineering and delivering data products that drive business decisions — with enterprise experience for the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E).
I am a full stack data engineer specializing in large geospatial datasets: aggregating, cleaning, storing, analyzing, and delivering data products that support business decisions across industries.
I began my career in oil and gas as a Reservoir Engineer building and running 3D subsurface models. These models required cleaning, staging, and processing large volumes of disparate geospatial data, which became the foundation of my data engineering path. Although the outputs were physics-based simulations, much of the work was data preparation, transformation, and quality control. Working across countries and clients exposed me to many data systems, formats, and business requirements.
I also contributed to large-scale machine learning initiatives and began using distributed computing through Apache Hadoop and Spark pipelines. Around the same time, I hosted interactive client dashboards on AWS EC2, my first practical exposure to DevOps.
During COVID, I was funded to complete a Master's in Data Management from Colorado State University, helping me transition my GIS, earth science, and data experience into a broader data engineering career.
I later built geospatial databases and products for U.S. government agencies including DOT, USFS, and BLM. My final assignment there was as lead data engineer on the Mineral Leasing Record System, a platform spanning multiple data warehouses, user applications, and reporting tools. I built a business rules audit pipeline that tested data at multiple stages against hundreds of rules to assure quality.
At Logic2020, I worked with San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E). I developed a parallelized risk detection pipeline for 3TB of LiDAR data, feeding a risk management system that helps field crews prioritize mitigation work.
I am currently a Technical Lead Foundry Architect for Pacific Gas & Electric, modernizing existing pipelines and building greenfield pipelines supporting customer notifications and field maintenance operations.
I also build personal projects to keep these skills sharp. I developed the tech stack for an oil and gas startup, including a 3D wellbore visualizer for hundreds of thousands of wells hosted on AWS S3 with a lean architecture that hosts and serves for very cheap. I also built a wildfire alert tool that streams live satellite data, identifies likely wildfire hotspots, and alerts users when a fire is detected within a defined radius using AWS EventBridge and Flink.

Built a parallelized analysis pipeline processing 3TB of LiDAR for San Diego Gas & Electric — spatially indexed for chunked parallel runs, denoising point clouds and flagging foreign objects near electrical equipment, feeding a risk-planning dashboard with a nested Potree 3D viewer.

Modernizing existing pipelines and building greenfield pipelines for customer notifications and field maintenance. Leader in the enterprise AI transformation, moving from SAFe Agile to AWS's AI-DLC development cycle.
Built the full stack from discovery to production for an oil & gas royalty brokerage — an interactive geospatial deal-evaluation app on Django + Mapbox, deployed to AWS ECS / Fargate.

Built automated ETL integrating spatial and tabular data for USFS, BLM, and DOT. Lead data engineer on the Mineral Leasing Record System, creating a business-rules audit pipeline testing data against hundreds of rules. Employee of the Year, 2023.

Led compositional and thermal EOR modeling for national oil companies across the Middle East, South America, and Canada. Built Spotfire dashboards for deal valuations and published SPE papers on EOR technologies.

Personal projects and interactive tools I've built to keep my skills sharp.
